TODAY'sQUOTES

"He who angers you conquers you."

- Elizabeth Kenny, was an Australian pioneering physical therapist curing millions of people from Polio in the early 1900s.

"Develop the strength to do bold things, not the strength to suffer."

- Niccolo Machiavelli, was a philosopher, writer, and Italian politician. *Editors note, although I disagree with a lot of what Machiavelli stood for, this quote contains great wisdom.

"I am grateful for all my problems. After each one was overcome, I became stronger and more able to meet those that were still to come. I grew in all my difficulties."

- J. C. Penny, was a businessman and entrepreneur. In 1902, he founded the J.C. Penney stores.

Good morning from New York City!

This is going to be an AMAZING week! Last week I shared with you that on November 18th I will be a guest on Oprah's Super Soul Sunday on OWN (11am EST).

Well this week I want to share with you that THIS coming weekend I will be sharing the stage with Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, Cheryl Richardson, Gabrielle Bernstein, Kris Carr, Latham Thomas and SO many other amazing folks at the Hay House I Can Do It IGNITE! Conference! Click here to get tickets!

I seriously do not recognize my life.

A couple years ago TDL was a small project and I had a lot of hopes and dreams. And today - this month - SO many of them are coming true.

What I want to share with you today is that dreams are real. Fear is not.

There was a time in my life when I felt SO disconnected from my dreams, they felt IMPOSSIBLE. They felt like they would never happen. After the failure of my clothing company, I started to think that all the self-help stuff was BS and that maybe I wasn't supposed to live the life I dreamed. I thought about giving up. I thought about stopping. I thought about quitting. I thought about giving into that negative voice.

But RIGHT at that time, I had just, JUST enough spiritual practice to keep going. I had heard about the darkness coming RIGHT before the light. I heard about the dark night of the soul being a part of rebirth. So I held in there. And it was tough. It was painful. It KILLED my pride. It was a humbling experience. It was a tough time. It didn't happen overnight and it was scary as hell.

And today, I can tell you having just spoken at Marie Forleo's RHH Live last weekend, speaking at a Hay House conference (and having a book deal with Hay House) this coming weekend and being a guest on Super Soul Sunday in two weeks, HANG IN THERE. If times are tough, hang in there. If you want to give up, hang in there. If you want to quit, hang in there. If you are so scared of the unknown you don't know what to do, hang in there.

Your DREAMS are in the unknown. And they must be EARNED.

Look, I'm not going to tell you it was or is easy. But I can tell you with 10000% confidence that it's totally POSSIBLE. The question is, do you have what it takes to EARN living your dreams? You gotta carve your own path. You gotta not care what your family thinks. You gotta step into the unknown and trust that you will be caught. You gotta be a little crazy to not have a Plan B.

This is what it takes. But it's worth it. I always had a sense that these things were possible, but in my dip, in my dark night, in my down times they felt SO far away that all I could do was just show up one day at a time in total trust that when things fell apart in my life, it was a part of it falling together.

Over the course of a lifetime we will eventually come to learn that dreams are real and fear is not. And when we get to the end, we will either be completely used up by our purpose or living in regret. The choice is yours and it's yours to make RIGHT NOW.

Can you hang in there and believe? And act of that belief?

As always, the action happens over on the BLOG. Head on over there and leave a comment on my blog "Change happens SLOWLY, not all at onles ce!" and join in the conversation! The TDL Community thrives in the comments and it's a GREAT place to get support!

Love,
Mastin
