I'm SO excited because something happened last week that I've been dying to tell you about.
A dream came true last week. I flew to Chicago with Gabby Bernstein and Marie Forleo and taped an episode of Super Soul Sunday with Oprah! It's going to air on OWN on Sunday, November 18th at 11am EST.
It was an absolute dream come true!
The best part about the experience was that I got to share it with two of my close friends who are SO amazing and inspiring. I wouldn't have wanted to do it alone.
As I was sitting there talking with Oprah I felt like I was awake inside a dream. Never in my whole life would I have imagined sitting at that table having a conversation about life, spirituality, God and Love with Oprah. It was the manifestation of so much hard work, dedication and not giving up.
One of the most amazing full circle moments for me was the night before the taping, I sat with Gabby and Marie and we did a group meditation. It wasn't any kind of meditation; it was a Kundalini Yoga meditation. For those of you that know me, you know that Kundalini Yoga is a BIG part of my life. I recommend it to all my clients and practice it almost daily.
Well, Gabby has been taking Kundalini Yoga teacher training (and I will be following suit next year) and she suggested that we meet in her room at the Omni Hotel to do a prayer and meditation. As we were doing the ego eradicator meditation for six minutes I almost started to cry. It was an unbelievable moment.
Why? Well because I have been doing Kundalini Yoga for five years as of October 28th, and when I first found Kundalini all I wanted was to share it and practice it with my business partner. I wanted to have a spiritual and business practice that lined up. But it didn't resonate with my partner and so I kept doing it. And have been doing it ever since.
Fast forward five years and there I am doing Kundalini Yoga & meditation with Gabby and Marie the night before we are going to tape Super Soul Sunday - it was like the deepest manifestation of my heart's desire. It was such a trip being asked to be on the show that it kind of took me out of time.
But what was a greater trip were the circumstances and the companions that I found myself with. It was the literal coming true of my deepest heart's desire and it was with people who - although they aren't my business partners - are my partners in crime on this spiritual path. And in that moment I understood why things had to happen in my life the way that they did up until now. Hindsight IS everything and in that moment I felt SO guided, SO protected and it all made sense.
The heartbreak. The couch surfing. The trials. The suffering. The confusion. The Daily Love. It was as if all The Uni-verse was conspiring for that one moment to happen - and I got it on an experiential level. In that moment I felt GRACE in my whole body. It was as if I was awake inside my dream - and it was even further confirmation for me that what I say and share here at TDL is TRUE. The Divine has our backs and if we follow Its Whispers, we will be taken care of, but it will only make sense in hindsight. And we can only truly live our dreams if we are living in service to others. The journey cannot be selfish; it must be with contribution in our hearts.
