If you never make the attempt, then you'll never know what's truly possible. That is some of the greatest wisdom I know. And by attempt, I don't mean once, or twice or three times. By attempt I mean UNTIL it happens. This could be five times or 1005 times, but that isn't your worry. All you have to do is ATTEMPT and KEEP GOING.
Yoda once said, "Do or do not, there is no try". Trying is something that comes with the association of a plan B. "Well, I'll try it and see how it goes..." This type of approach will never get you to where you want to go!
It is not in trying that we succeed, but through a steadfast and constant ATTEMPT.
I LOVE Webster's definition of attempt, "to make an effort to do, accomplish, solve, or effect."
It's all about effort. Effort creates MOMENTUM - and momentum creates effects or outcomes. And it is from those outcomes that we can learn, grow and make new and different attempts based on the new information we have.
So many people give up too soon. They "try" a couple times and things don't work out. And so they naively assume that it's not meant to be. But that's not the path of the seeker, the daily lover or anyone who is on the path of Mastery. No. Our path is the path of attempting UNTIL we finally produce the result that we want.
I truly believe that The Uni-verse tests us to see how bad we really want something. Rarely if ever do we get to create something epic and amazing at the speed of a text, a tweet or an instagram. Constant attempt towards a goal is what it takes. We must attempt and attempt again. Soak in what we are learning, toss out what's not working and make new attempts with different strategies based on the information we now have about what doesn't work.
The Uni-verse LOVES someone who won't give up and specializes in redemption and renewal. It's usually RIGHT when we think things aren't going to work, right when we are fed up, tired and about to give up - that we are on the BRINK of our greatest success.
So, have you given up? Have you tried and "failed"? Are you ready to pick yourself back up and do it again? What are you waiting for? If you think you are at the end, just keep going a little bit longer and you'll see that you are closer than you think to the outcome you desire!
