OMG! Today is Day TWO of Marie Forleo's RHH Live here in New York City! And today I am going to be talking about purpose.

How to find it and what to do once you have.

As you know, I'm BIG on action. Spiritual theories are nice. Poetry is nice. But ACTION is what creates results. I'm all about the action.

So what action do we take to find our purpose? I've written about this many times before. But it's always fun to write about it again because it's a VERY important topic. In fact, I believe that finding your purpose is the most important thing a human being can do. Without purpose, life can see random, crazy and meaningless. And when life lacks meaning we might as well be the walking dead.

My purpose process was greatly inspired by my dear friend Simon Sinek and his AMAZING book "Start With Why" . If you haven't read this book, do it NOW! :o)

My purpose process was also inspired by the great Joseph Campbell who I wrote about earlier this week and who I quote ALL the time.

Campbell coined a phrase that sums up his entire life's work. Now, understand this man studied ALL the religions, the wisdom traditions, myths and stories of mankind. He surveyed them ALL and found common threads and themes. And this was his life's work.

So when I tell you what phrase Campbell coined it's a BIG DEAL. Unfortunately, the phrase has turned into this "cute" ankle tattoo phrase, but it's SUPER important and VERY powerful. So listen up.

What's the phrase you ask me? You've heard it before, and it's pretty simple: FOLLOW YOUR BLISS.

Three words with TONS of magic and power.

Bliss doesn't mean eat all the food you want or do all the drugs you want. It's not about carnal bliss. But rather spiritual bliss. That thing that lights you up. That makes you happy. It's that thing that you do when time just FLIES by. It's that JOY that seems almost Divine.

Campbell makes a promise that "When you follow your bliss, doors will open where there were no doors before and where there are no doors for anyone else." That's a BIG promise and I've seen it be true in my own life.

Also, I believe that PURPOSE and BLISS are the same thing. Because when you are living your purpose, you experience BLISS

So - how do you find it? Think back. Look over all the times you were happy. Look to who inspires you. Look to who you envy. All these signs point to your bliss. Times you were happy show you what you love to do. People who inspire you are living a version of life that you want to live. And people that you envy hold the key to the things you "think" you are missing from your life.

If you combine all these things you will get a pretty good look at what your bliss is. What your purpose is.

And one more KEY thing. Once you find it, you MUST dedicate your life to SERVICE. To adding value to other people's lives. Your purpose and bliss are not complete without this KEY ingredient!

So - what's your bliss? What's your purpose?

As always, the action happens over on the BLOG. Head on over there and leave a comment on my blog "Change happens SLOWLY, not all at onles ce!" and join in the conversation! The TDL Community thrives in the comments and it's a GREAT place to get support!

Love,
